Miicrosoft Zone got it right, until they changed the format recently. It was clear and uncomplicated. Copy them (no shame in that is there) and you will get thousands of members.
So far everything I've thought of to add to the Wishlist is already there. However, today it occurred to me that the shading of suits is extremely annoying, since I am often thinking several tricks ahead of the current trick and attempting to see my my entire hand with off-suits shaded out is difficult. Perhaps this feature is something that could be toggled on or off?
I am close to ecstatic over how this site is developing. I find it by far the most user-friendly place available, and like most of us who moderate leagues and ladders, I've been sampling a lot of them.
A HUGE debt of thanks is owed to the people who are working on GamingPeak, which I have no doubt will be a huge success.

I would like to see when it is your turn to play first card...we all just kinda sit there waiting and it doesn't seem to tell u who's turn it is(right after bidding) Also..a friends list would be nice :)

League room Options
Would like to see macros for tournament rules etc be able to run not only in league lobbies, also at the Tournament directors table.
I would like to see league admin have options to mute sounds in room AND emoticons in league lobbies.
I would like to see LEAGUE Admins have authority and option to silence and/or remove players that are obnoxious, vulgar, and disruptive (to name a few). After all, the survival of the league is top priority of the league admin,who better knows and will discreetly enforce the room rules and atmosphere better?
I would like to see not only a Friends messaging program but also a private chat option that can be attended by anyone invited. This would allow for team meetings and such.
I would like to see the option for players to "hide or show cards" to the kibitzer.
I would like the capability of kibitzing more than one table at a time, as league Tournement hosts can oversee all the tables being used for THEIR tornaments. As well as team captains can oversee thier team members should the need araise.
I would like to see game options as to number of hands for a complete game. winning score and losing score options.
I would like to see auto play of last card deleted. Hlc for booted players and BRB's at end of hand are a needed option

Wish List
I would like the change to enter the game while it is running so others don't have to restart but give possibilaty to close the table or refuse the player
The table should indicate at all times, whose turn it is to bid and play. If not, we are just sitting there waiting on someone to go, and not knowing whose turn it is.
I would like to see a better indication of the bids and hands won. Currently, this is indicated by small rectangular boxes which are hard to understand.
A friends list would be nice, so we can immediately identify when our friends are online and in gaming peak.
The area in the table that shows bids/tricks/bags is very confusing.
Currently, I am being asked to bid twice. Once I place my bid and select the bid button, I am asked a second time.
There should be more options to change your font to bold underline, italic. Currently, you can change your font color, but if you make any other changes, it affects how all text is seen in the lobby.
I would like a clear identifiable indication of the table number included at the table.
There should indeed be ignore features for obscene players and people who send you unwanted messages.
Can you add a last trick or last hand played feature?
All in all, this is probably going to be the most popular spades site. I appreciate the friendly hosts and helpers. The format is something I can get use to after a few changes are implemented. Thanks so much.

Kibitzers cannot see cards therefore there is no way to perform a spades check for misbidders as of yet im sure it's coming.
Also when you click on a members name on the room list it would be nice if it said what table they were at whether playing or kibitzing.
Also it would greatly help the your eyes if the cards had a black border around them instead of white as they blend together while in your hand making mouse pointer positioning more difficult.
Suggestion writing code so you could put a , (comma) between names in the table search box and keep tabs on more than one player at a time would be very usefull to admin esp.
Once the friends lists are up and running make it possible to change the color of the nicks that are on your list to a set color of choice for example all friends nicks that posted in the lobby would appear in red if so chosen to make it obvious to you when they post.
Could it be possible for it to show those kibitzing a table in the black box to the left of the the table list where it either says playing or empty which is to the left of the green or blue chairs.
Noticed you can adjust the width of the room list on the right can it be made that when you make it wide enough for two rows that the length of the list is cut in half and maybe even three row capability we are talking about a room with the capacity to hold 600 people so i heard so it would still be 3 rows of 200 each plenty long still but try and imagine scrolling 600 names back and forth.
Is it posible to make the chat window flash when you get a whisper just like it does when your name is used in the lobby?
Also an hold last card feature will need to be installed for tournament play as the autoplay last card feature is not kind to tournament play.
Ability for the host of a table who holds hammer to be able to boot players from a table that are kibitzing and every player at the table the ability to ignore any one sitting at table whether playing or kibitzing.
The ability to make whispers available at the table so if you right click there name while sitting at the table it pops up on the table instead of the lobby chat input box.
Reset the default width of a table to the minimum allowed and the height about 2 inches taller.
Remover the green font from the color choices all together make it standard for inbound messages as those choosing it makes it real distractive cause your eyes get trained to it.
We need one room for the suiciders along with the whiz(mirrors) room for people coming from the zone and WGC please.. since we understand the room load seems to be about 115 or you will be booted or stuck .. we need at least one for starters .... ty vm suicider Beach
Is there a way we can have an option to cover cards? this is very important in league play and also in tournament play.

Friend's List
When you right click on a user name in a play room, one option to add would be "Add as a friend". Also add a category of players in the room called "Friends", where people you have designated as friends would appear if they are in the room.
Tournament Listings
It would be nice to see the spades tournament start times listed in other timezones besides EST. It will encourage players in other timezones to participate!
example: 9:00am EST = 8:00am CST = 6:00am PST

Offensive Language Filter and Tournament Hosts
Hi, I like many am from the MS Game Zone where I started playing when it was known as the Village. I also for a few years Co Hosted Spades Tournaments with knit2fit who is now a temporary sysop/host on your site.
I think it would be in not only in Game Peak's best interest but that of those who "play" there to have an automatic or programmed "OFFENSIVE WORD FILTER".
I know currently each player, under options, can filter this out, which is the same system/program the MS Game Zone had. I think you should build/program an site filter that does this automatically rather than relying on each player to do and having to have Sysop to monitor this particular issue when on duty. This is what lead to all kinds of problems in the Zone for many reasons. Not only, due to Sysops being human and playing favorites or having different tolerance levels, was offensive language a problem that turned into a major nigthmare on the Game Zone.
Since your site is new, I do not know how you plan to run the "Hosting" process for tournaments. I know on the the Zone when I started hosting you had to be trained and attend an on-line class with a Head Host/Sysop. Eventually the Zone allowed anyone to have spur tournies and allowed those willing to pay a small fee to become a Host with sign which gave them additional advantages such as being able to get into full rooms to advertise and to sit at multiple tables at the same time. I personally recommed that you check into all aspects of how you plan to set this up before you make your final decision on how to run it. When the Game Zone changed from the original rules for hosting it eventually lead to Tournaments getting smaller and smaller as well as a large number of Hosts who were not very efficient at hosting.

I think the bid window could stay visible untill one has completed their bid, but the (bid button) itself not available until it is your turn to bid. As it is now sometimes the bid window is offered on our screen -- we bid -- only to have to rebid (make our actual bid) when it is our turn to bid. Overall Thank You all for this site and thank you for allowing a forum such as this to help you help us have a more friendly and enjoyable site. My hat is off to you all

Game Table Host Advertising in the Lobby/Location of a Player at a table.
I played a regular game yesterday with the new feature of Host Advertising in the Lobby. This apparently needs to be "fine tuned", as the host of the game I was playing kept putting up silly advertisement comments about his partner in the Lobby during the ENTIRE GAME! The program needs to be redone to disable this feature once a table has 4 players seated to eliminate this by a Host Player like I had that misuses it.
I still think you need to program the ability to find what table a player (friend) is located at by right clicking on their name. I know you can type their nick in the Search Box at the top and that will show what table (if they are at one) that they are located at. However that is time consuming and cumbersome. Right clicking would allow users to play together easier, and especially users who do not have each other on some chat program, i.e. Yahoo, AOL AIM, MSN, ICQ, etc.
I still HIGHLY recommend a site wide language filter rather than a user language filter option. No call to even allow bad/foul language.
I also still recommend a minimum standard for allowing one to be a Host that is certified by a GamingPeak Site Host or Controller to eliminate having people Host who are not adept at that skill.
Finally, I would still like to see the ability to IM (Instant Message) another player rather than trying to use the current Whisper feature as it does not work if they are brb or not watching the Lobby chat.
DN game
Yesterday i was playng a DN tourney , we all got set , but then it was the team with the MOST bags who won, thats not the way it should be, or it would be mentioned before hand.The way DN is normaly played, you try to set opps and then give bags, not take them! thanks for all improvement , love the Site.MVS_Cable1
Kibbers - Ignore Feature - Table Hosts - Review of Hands Played
Bold text KIBBERS: Highly recommend that the ability to "Silence" kibbers at the playing table be included in the next program update.
IGNORE FEATURE: Recommend, as has already been said by many, that the Ignore Feature be done away with and replaced with a IM Feature that allows you to have an IM Friends List.
TABLE HOST; Definitely recommend that the Table Host Feature be done away with and reprogrammed so that all 4 players at a table hit a "Start" button to begin the game. If the argument comes up that ones wants to be in control of their playing table, then an IM Friends list would allow them to invite only those they wish to play with.
REVIEW OF HANDS PLAYED; This speaks for itself,i.e. the ability to click on a box on the playing table that lets you see the results of each hand that has already been played.
I know the above suggestions sound like the MSN Game Zone, but that is one of several reasons why so many played in the Zone before the current program came into effect!
Being able to hide your cards from observers joining the table.
I would like to see a feature where I could hide my cards from onlookers joining the table.
Ratings
I would Like to have ratings. It was an ongoing goal to be play in the "rated" rooms and to obtain an ideal rating. I dont even have the desire to play in the social rooms if there is no rating. I only play in the tournaments here at gamepeak because of this.
TD'S AND SCORES
I wish the td's that are hosting tournaments count monitor table scores from the lobby....
I WISH THAT THE SCORE DISPLAY CURRENTLY USED IS CHANGED.IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THE SCORE REVEALS THE HAND BY HAND SCORE WITH BAGS COUNT, IN A SMALL POPUP WINDOW, AS IN YAHOO. IT HELPS TO CREATE A SENSE OF CONTINUITY IN THE GAME. ALSO ANOTHER REQUEST I HAVE IS THIS.. 'BAGS' ARE DEFINED AS THE SUM OF THE TRICKS TAKEN IN TOTAL BY BOTH PARTNERS MINUS THE BID OF BOTH PARTNERS, AND IS SCORED AS 1. THE BID OF A TEAM IS THE SUM OF THE BIDS OF THE TWO PLAYERS....SPADES IS A PARTNERSHIP GAME.......HOWEVER, I HAVE SEEN IN HERE, THAT IF ONE PARTNER IS NIL, AND HE TAKES A TRICK, IT IS SCORED DIFFERENTLY...WHY THIS DISCREPANCY???I REQUEST THAT HERE TOO THE SAME RULE BE APPLIED TO ENABLE THE TEAM BIDDING NIL TO ATLEAST GET THEIR BID....SO THAT THEY GET ATLEAST -80 OR -70 FOR 2 OR 3 BID BY COVERING PARTNER,RATHER THAN -120 -130, IN THE EVENT OF THE NIL BEING SET AND THE NILLER GETTING THE TRICKS FOR HIS P.... THNX
